Johnny Saunders is the thirty year old president of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Road Raptors Motorcycle Club, a one-percenter biker club with nine chapters scattered about the western third of the United States. An accomplished airbrush artist, all Johnny wants is to ride his bike and live life his way. Rebecca Spade is the twenty-four year old estranged daughter of a small town Missouri hellfire and damnation preacher who recently became a popular televangelist with a worldwide following. A wannabe actress who fled Missouri for LA several years before to pursue her dreams, Rebecca spends most of her time waitressing in one dive after another to support herself between infrequent acting gigs. They meet in the Black List Lounge, a biker bar, where she’s just been fired for punching out her agent, breaking her hand in the process. Their attraction is mutual and immediate.

But life is never easy for bikers and their old ladies. Despite the club prohibition on dealing or running drugs, there are any number of law agencies waiting for the club to slip up and cross that blurred line between what they consider legal and criminal. There are rivals in the club for Johnny’s position and a former old lady who’ll stop at nothing to resume her place as Johnny’s woman. And the Road Raptors have enemies—Satans Kin MC, Sin Eaters MC, a stalker with a deadly fantasy. Even friendly clubs like Devils Hand MC can turn treacherous, once the Devils Hand president, Bobby Dixon, gets a look at Rebecca Spade. 

Johnny and Rebecca live in a dangerous world and never give much thought to their future together, preferring to live for the day. They’re young and in love. If it’s meant to be, it’ll work itself out—somehow.
